It is time for an adventure, heading eastward to the Swiss Alps and beyond, to drive some old favourite roads and find some new ones. Good compamy, good drives, good food.
A day of rest
After our 2 day transit to the Alps, it was time for a more relaxed day, exploring the sights around our base in Adelboden. A drive to Kandestag and a day spent hiking by the mountain lake at Oeschinensee was just what was needed.
Ultimate Passes
The best of the Swiss passes all in one day including the Grimsel, Furka, Tremelo, Nufenen and back on the Grimsel. An ultimate day in the Swiss Alps. One to remember
Off to Austria
The scenic route on great passes. Puts a smile on your face every time.
Hidden Austria
Why do we love Austria? Empty sweeping roads, stunning scenery. This is some of the best driving in Europe. Especially the Hahntennjoch pass on a glorious summer morning. Wow!
Towards the Home of Porsche
After a rest day by the lake, we head for Stuttgart and the Museum.
Black Forest Gateaux and Chateau
Heading westwards the Black Forest roads beckon; sweeping, undulating, and deep in the forest. Back in France, an afternoon at the Chateau before our overnight stop at the Fort.
Champagne
What a great way to start a day, with a visit to one of the great Champagne houses, then a scenic drive through the vineyards as the harvest was well underway. A perfect end to a great escape.
